Santa Maria Community Services, Inc. Welcomes Two Accomplished Professionals to its Board of Directors

Santa Maria Community Services, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to helping families attain their educational, financial, and health goals, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Rebecca Restrepo and Rick Seaver. With their diverse backgrounds and expertise, Rebecca and Rick bring a wealth of experience to the organization, further enhancing its ability to achieve its strategic goals and advance its mission.

Rebecca Restrepo: Rebecca is a Senior Purchasing Manager in the Feminine Care sector of Procter and Gamble where she leads a global, cross-functional team to deliver innovation and sustained value for the company. Rebecca is a skilled negotiator, planner, and strategic thinker which will help her succeed on the board at Santa Maria.

Born and raised in New Mexico, Rebecca is a lifelong learner with a love for books. She holds a master’s degree in management from Harvard Extension School, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. She is also actively involved in local community events, serving on the Governance Committee at Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank and as a board member for College Mentors for Kids.

After making Cincinnati her home in 2019, Rebecca recently married her spouse, Vincent, and is constantly on the move either through sports or travel, but she can often be found on long walks with her scrappy dog, Oliver, or volunteering at various local community events.

“I am so excited and honored to be serving on Santa Maria’s Board to make a meaningful, intentional, and positive impact for my community,” said Rebecca, “Let’s get to work!”

Rick Seaver:  Rick is the Director of Business Development for Sunesis Construction, a heavy civil construction company focused on building better communities. With over 25 years of experience in the Cincinnati construction industry, Rick brings a wide variety of skills that include real estate development, project management and sales for both private and public projects. He is also a graduate of Board Orientation Leadership Development (BOLD) a program of the Leadership Council of Nonprofits.

Born and raised in southeast Indiana, Rick enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as a young man and credits that experience with creating the building blocks of a successful career. He enjoys watching his children grow into beautiful adults, playing golf with his father and training for ironman triathlons.

“I have a need to be inspired by other people doing great things and the desire to reciprocate that action by inspiring others as well,” said Rick. “I feel so blessed that my position at Santa Maria gives me the opportunity to achieve that.”

Guillermo Villa, Chair of Santa Maria’s Board of Directors, expressed excitement about the new appointments. “We are thrilled to welcome our new board members to Santa Maria Community Services. Both Rebecca and Rick bring excellent professional experience and a passion to serve the Price Hill community.  Their accomplishments, professional backgrounds, and commitment to our mission will help lead us into the next chapter of building strong families, promoting healthy residents, and fostering neighborhood revitalization efforts.”
