Volunteer!

At Santa Maria, we believe that many individuals face adverse conditions that challenge their ability to accomplish self-sufficiency. With the support of volunteers and donors like you, we will continue to provide the services that help neighbors help themselves. Santa Maria services such as Jordan Health, Meals-on-Wheels and tutoring would literally stop tomorrow without the enormous volunteer support currently sustaining these programs. Our volunteer partnership is evidence of the strong community support Santa Maria is fortunate to enjoy.

Santa Maria's 585 volunteers gave an amazing 20,802 hours of service in 2007. You are a primary resource, helping to make it possible for Santa Maria to provide services to over 3,000 families and individuals each year.

If you live in the Cincinnati area and have time to volunteer at one of our Neighborhood Support Centers.

  • You could be a mentor or tutor for one of the children or youth attending center programs.
  • You can drive the agency van for special outings for the children or seniors.
  • You might enjoy helping staff in one of the child development programs or coach a sports team.
  • You can assist in planning special events.
  • You have a special skill you would like to share with our parenting or senior groups.
  • You can help a home-bound older adult by assisting in the Meals-on-Wheels program.
  • You can share your computer software skills, such as Pagemaker, Photoshop or data entry. You are needed!
  • You can share your expertise as a Registered Nurse for the Jordan Health program.
  • You can help organize archive records or assist in photographing center events (digital camera supplied).
  • You can apply your love of gardening to help keep the surrounding areas of our centers beautiful.

Santa Maria is a private, not-for-profit, agency. We have been serving families and individuals in the Cincinnati area for more than 110 years. If you would like more information about Santa Maria or would like a copy of our Annual Report you can make the request through info@santamaria-cincy.org.
